Wait! Don’t eat me!

Posted by admin on Feb 20, 2010 in photos

I took this picture tonight at dinner. It’s vinegar and olive oil but it was too cute to use! After a while we started jiggling the plate around to see the mouth move.

Why I love LEGO

Posted by admin on Feb 5, 2010 in legos

Although the majority of this creation was designed with Bionicle pieces (which amazes me), this is why I love LEGO. Flickr creator the BCth has inspired me to do some stop-motion this weekend during the Snowpocalypse. She looks like she’s about to turn her head!

This is how my cats sleep.

Posted by admin on Feb 5, 2010 in cats

Moby (bottom) and Jynx (top) have some weird sleepisms demonstrated perfectly in this picture below. Moby has decided to burrow herself under a blanket while Jynx prefers to sleep on my expensive fuzzy blanket right above my pillow. Jynx has been in this spot for at least 52 hours now, including while I was sleeping.

Fab free font

Posted by admin on Feb 5, 2010 in Technology

I found this fab free font called Diavlo on exljbris Font Foundry tonight. The white space around the kerning provides a fresh look at the slick serifs. Here’s a preview. Oh, and the best part is that it’s opentype which means cross-platform goodness!

Free stuff on my birthday

Posted by admin on Jan 29, 2010 in Freebies/Coupons

There are a lot of places out there that will give you something free for your birthday. I have made it my mission this week to take advantage of this opportunity as much as possible. My birthday is on Monday, February 1st so I hope to squeeze in as many freebies as possible this weekend.

Wednesday Night

Wednesday me and my boyfriend went to Red Robin. I used their “free gourmet burger” coupon from my inbox to score a free bacon cheeseburger. Then, they also gave me a free sundae. To get this deal sign up for the Red Robin eClub.

Thursday Night

Last night we freezing but we walked over to Noodles and Co where I used my Noodlegram to score a free Regular-sized noodle dish. The cashier also gave me a free rice crispy triangle!

Tonight I also went to Sephora and snagged a free birthday gift after I became a “Beauty Insider“.

Other coupons I’ve yet to use are a free breakfast from First Watch and a free Blizzard from Dairy Queen.

Over the weekend

  • My “Chunk Mail” arrived from Ben and Jerry’s for a free ice cream scoop. It’s been too cold to walk over to get it but I will soon!
  • Used my free entry coupon at First Watch and got a French Toast breakfast for free. Yum!
  • A birthday surprise from Disney arrived with a free Blu-ray offer from the Disney Rewards Program. I only had to pay $2.95 for shipping (which isn’t bad) and chose Enchanted out of my 5 choices. It was the best out of the 5!
  • My Sephora makeup arrived and it’s actually a nice little set! I’m not one to wear eye makeup regularly but this trio provides a subtle smoky look I enjoy.
